Toyota Tacoma

Toyota Tacoma holds its rank near the top of the compact pickup truck class. It comes with a high payload capacity, and it is one of the best off-roaders in its segment. It gets a high predicted reliability rating and intuitive technology. Its iconic off-road cred is illustrated by classic trail-ready trims and units featuring sturdy equipment and remarkable capability. It has standard pickup-truck versatility with various powertrains and chassis configurations. Even though it is a compact pickup, it is not a small vehicle from any angle, and the size might not fit into everyone’s life. If you are in search of a compact truck with exceptional off-road abilities, then Tacoma will be a perfect option. It gets equipped with all the standard active and passive safety features. Toyota had made minor changes to the 2019 Tacoma, which includes interior updates and improvements to the TRD Pro model. It comes in six trim levels, SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-road, Limited and TRD Pro.   

The charming interior is also perfectly laid out, with clearly understood and useful controls. There is a plethora of space up front, though headroom is not that worthy. The most notable deficiencies are the comparatively tall step-up to get into the cabin and the unusual driving position. The infotainment system operates as it should and has pleasant graphics, yet it should have included modern features such as an Apple CarPlay, mobile hotspot and Android Auto. The system identifies voice commands accurately, and the audio quality of phone calls is crystal clear. Tacoma has more than adequate volume in its six-foot bed, but it frustrates with fewer storage cubbies and restricted carry-on space inside the cabin. The seats get the treatment of cloth upholstery as standard and optional leather upholstery and heated front seats. The front seats are spacious and supportive. While the rear seats are small, but most grown-ups can fit fine in the tail of Double Cabs. 

Toyota proposes two motors for the Tacoma. The base variant gets a 2.7L four-cylinder engine, which puts out 159 hp of power and 244 Nm of torque, while other option includes a 3.5 L V6 producing 278 hp of power and 359 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed automatic as standard, and a six-speed manual is available as an option. Both engines generate enough power to get you around town, but the additional punch of the V6 makes passing, towing, and driving uphill much easier. The TRD variants are exceptionally well-equipped for adventuring. It features an electronic locking rear differential, active traction control, a TRD-tuned suspension, and other accessories for tackling tough terrain. This pickup truck can tow up to 6,800 pounds and haul up to 1,620 pounds. Standard safety features include pre-collision warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors and more. In addition to that, it has also received a five-star rating in rollover crash tests.
