Ford’s best-selling model for several decades, the F-150 pickup truck is unquestionably the most common site on freeways across the country. Now the updated 2019 model gets three cab and bed styles and a wide range of optional extras which can equip this devourer of miles to take on any job thrown its way. The 2019 Ford F-150 features an all-new aluminum body construction which helps reduce weight, so as to improve the fuel economy offered by the new and frugal hi-tech engine options. The 2019 Ford F-150 is not just a workhorse but also features models that cater to those who want to take it to the track or any other terrain that nature can throw their way.

For the first time, Ford is offering a diesel engine option on the ‘Lariat’, ‘King Ranch’ and ‘Platinum’ models. Also, instead of the old ‘Navy Pier’ interior, we now get a ‘Camel Black’ two-tone color scheme inside the cabin. For the first time, the 2019 Ford F-150 gets three new exterior color options which include ‘Silver Spruce’, ‘Abyss Grey’ and ‘Agate Black’. Ford has also done away with the ancient CD player, which was earlier offered in the F150 XLT trim and has replaced it with the company's FordPass connect system.F-150 is also available with an array of optional extras which include massaging chairs, touch screen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof, to name a few.

Ford F-150 has a six-trim regular lineup and 1 performance Raptor model: XL ($28,155) XLT ($34,160), Lariat ($41,700), King Ranch ($52,390), Platinum ($54,920), Limited ($67,135) and the Raptor Supercab ($52,855) 

In its numerous iteration, the Ford F-150 offers a wide range of impressive engine options. Most of these powerplants come mated to the company’s 10-speed automatic transmission. The only engine to get a 6-speed automatic transmission is a 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 which produces 290 BHP and 265 lb-ft of torque. The ‘Lariat’ trim gets a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine which produces 325 BHP of power and 400 lb-ft of torque. Both ‘King Ranch’ and ‘Platinum’ variants feature the good old school 5-liter V8 which comes with flex-fuel compatibility and produces 395 BHP and 400 lb-ft of torque. 

The gruntiest power plant, however, is not a V8 but a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine which is shared by the Raptor and the ‘Limited’ F-150 variants and produces 450 BHP of power and 510 lb-ft of torque which also happens to be the best in the segment.

The most impressive safety and driver-assist feature offered in the 2019 Ford F-150 has to be the trailer hitching system which makes backing up and hooking up a trailer as easy as putting on the seat belt. Other than the impressive tailor hacking software F-150 also comes with almost every conceivable advance safety feature available in passenger cars today like automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go technology, and available lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist.
