Toyota C-HR

The Toyota C-HR is a subcompact SUV which was first unveiled by the Japanese manufacturer at the 2016 LA Auto Show. Unique for the North American market, Toyota introduced the C-HR with a bigger 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The company recently updated it as the 2019 model, introducing a new base variant, the C-HR LE. The new 2019 C-HR poses a striking exterior design, modern interior, enhanced safety features, and power-packed performance. There are three variants available - LE, XLE and Limited, which retail at $21,145, $23,180 and $26,200 respectively (all prices are MSRP). Honda offers a 36 months/36000 miles whole vehicle warranty and a 24 months/unlimited miles road assistance with all the models of the C-HR.

The diamond-like styling, featuring sharp edges, is the highlight of the exterior looks. The precisely-cut design stands out and shines from every aspect and angle. The black colour, vortex-styled, 18-inch sport alloy wheels perfectly complement the stunning design. The standard unique cluster up front features LED DRLs with halogen lights. Thoughtfully designed C pillar rear door handles enhance the coupe-like appearance of the C-HR, while providing easy accessibility to the rear seats. You would be spoiled for choices as the C-HR is available in 12 striking paint schemes, including eight single tone and four dual tone schemes. Hop inside and you will be welcomed by a stylish, intuitive cabin which is designed keeping in mind the movement inside the cabin and comfort of occupants. The Ac system features dual-zone automatic climate control with pollen filter and individual temperature settings for driver and front passenger. Comfortable seating includes sport fabric-trimmed front bucket seats; 6-way adjustable driver's seat with sport bolsters and 6-way adjustable front passenger seat with sport bolsters. Other interior features include remote keyless entry system, Smart Key System on front doors and push-button start. The 4.2-inches TFT Multi-Information Display with customizable settings to show information like odometer, driving modes (Sports, Normal and ECO), outside temperature, fuel economy, trip information etc. The infotainment system comes with 8.0-inches touchscreen, powered by Entune 3.0 Audio with App Suite and six speakers aid the audio.

The Toyota C-HR LE is powered by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, DOHC engine, with Valvematic, that is good enough to produce a max power of 144hp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 139lb-ft at 3,900rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels using a CVTi-S setup and the engine features an electronic fuel injection system - Toyota Direct Ignition (TDI). There are three driving modes to choose from - Sport, Normal and Eco. The suspension duties are performed by independent MacPherson strut at the front and multi-link rear suspension with coil springs at the rear. Braking is performed on the C-HR LE by power-assisted brakes - ventilated front discs and solid rear discs, with ABS. The C-HR LE is fully-equipped with advanced safety features. It comes with Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) which offers Pre-Collision System and Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beams (AHB), and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). Other safety features include Electric Parking Brake (EPB), Star Safety System, 10 airbags, engine immobilizer, Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC).
