Chevrolet’s big three-row crossover, the Traverse, was given a big cosmetic makeover for 2018. This has worked wonders for the spacious SUV as it no longer looks like a minivan. For 2020, Chevrolet has discontinued the turbocharged four-cylinder engine and improved the infotainment system. This makes the 3.6L V6 engine producing 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque and mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission standard across the range. AWD is now also available as an option. Speaking of range, there are seven trim levels. All of which have at least a 7” touchscreen infotainment screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and 4G LTE WiFi as standard. Power liftgate, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, and lane-keep assist are available as options. Prices start from $31,125 for the base L trim. While Chevrolet Traverse prices are on the dearer side compared to the competition, the Traverse is the most spacious seven or eight-seater crossover without going full size.
