2021 Chevrolet Colorado comes with the more rugged look
General Motors has come up with the all-new Chevrolet Colorado for the 2021 model year. The new mid-size pickup truck brings in completely distinct looks and some upgraded features to gain a competitive advantage in the market.
On the exterior, the new styling appointments include revised front and rear end, a new bow-tie badge on the grille, and the word “Chevrolet” embossed on the tailgate.
With an intend to differentiate the variants, the WT, LT, and Z71 got a new grille and lower fascia design in contrast to ZR2. The styling appointments of ZR2 include badging on the lower fascia which seemingly blends the grille into the front bumper.
Moreover, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 has loaded with red tow hooks at the exterior which is an add-on to the off-roading capability of the vehicle. The off-roading minded features include:
- Multimatic dampers
- Front and rear electronically locking differentials
- A 2.0-inch lift and 3.5-inch wider track same as ongoing Colorado
- Skid plates
On the mechanical bits, it is expected that the new trims will be powered by the same drivetrains as standard Colorado. The engine options include:
- 2.8-litre inline-four turbodiesel engine producing 186 PS
- 2.5-litre inline-four turbodiesel engine producing 200 PS
- 3.6-litre V6 engine producing 308 PS of power.
As reported, the new 2021 Chevrolet Colorado official premiere is about to happen at the 2019 Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic in Laughlin, Nevada on October 10th. While the ZR2 will be showcased at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Nevada in early November.
On the question of pricing, the Chevrolet has not revealed anything. But the availability for sale has been declared in 2020.
