Chasing the streets from more than a decade, Subaru WRX and WRX STI variants have gained the most considerable consumer base in the sports sedan AWD segment. Subaru has notched up the performance of the new WRX STI from 305 hp at 6,000 rpm, 290 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm to 310 hp at 6,000 rpm, 290 lb-ft at 4,000-5,200 rpm. 

Subaru WRX is available in 5 trims: WRX, WRX Premium, WRX Limited, WRX STI, WRX STI Limited. And, prices start from $27,195 to $41,395. These variants are available in 8 colors-Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Pure Red, WR Blue Pear, Lapis Blue Pearl, Dark Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Silica. 

The prime specs of the WRX are symmetrical AWD, 4-wheel ABS, Rear vision camera, Daytime Running Lights, Brake Assist. However, heated body-color power side mirrors with integrated turn signals and STARLINK Safety plus specs are unavailable from the base variants WRX and WRX Premium. And, can only be availed in STI variants. 

The top two trims, WRX STI and STI Limited have EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, whereas this key safety feature is missing from all other variants. Talking of exteriors the base variants, either WRX and WRX Premium come with Premium Projector low-beam and multi-reflector high-beam halogen headlights, whereas the other trims are fitted with LED Steering Responsive Headlights (SRH), moreover the Exhaust system with quad stainless-steel outlets is standard among all the trims of this car. 

Subaru WRX offers a number of safety features, such as Brake override system (helps reduce the vehicle speed in case both accelerator and brake pedals are pressed), Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, PIN code vehicle access, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Traction control, ABS, EBD, Brembo® performance braking system, Vehicle Dynamics Control with Active Torque Vectoring, LED Steering Responsive Headlights, and High Beam Assist, etc. Moreover, Reverse Braking System is optional with WRX Limited version only. 

WRX variants are available in 2.0-litre DOHC Direct-Injection Turbocharged (DIT), whereas WRX STI variants come with 2.5-litre DOHC inter-cooled, turbocharged engines. Along with this, it offers indispensable braking system, coupled with 12.4-inch front and 11.3-inch rear disc. With this, you can stop the Subaru WRX, whenever you need to. 

With responsive brakes, comes breakthrough acceleration, and WRX can sprint from 0-60mph in just 5.5 seconds. Despite that, it delivers an affordable and satisfactory mileage of 20 mpg in city conditions and 27 mpg on highways. 

WRX STI comes with Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD), whereas All-Wheel Drive, Traction Control System, Active Torque Vectoring is standard among all trims. In terms of convenience, this car takes care of front and rear passengers and comes with an advance dual-automatic climate control, dual USB ports, Harman Kardon® audio system. However, the WRX-only variants don’t come with dual automatic climate control function and dual-zone lockout, keyless entry, auto on-off lights. The Cargo volume of 12 cubic feet is standard among all the variants.
