Subaru Crosstrek

Crosstrek falls in the compact SUV segment and is recognised as one of the most trustworthy cars in its class in terms of performance, driveability, space, comfort, appearance, and fuel consumption. 

Subaru has launched a brand-new Crosstrek this year with estimated prices increased from $100-$900 when compared with the 2018 model. There aren’t many changes, though, some features are optional along with CVT from the first variant with an added cost of $845, such as eye-sight assist technology, front emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and lane-keep assist. Meanwhile, in the top variant of Crosstrek, all such features, and automatic reverse braking, the automatic high beam comes as standard. 

Crosstrek line-up offers three variants - Crosstrek, Crosstrek Premium, and Crosstrek Limited. They have the most competent cabin, leg-room space when compared to the rivals, such as Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Trax, Hyundai Tuscon, Jeep Renegade, and Mazda CX-3.

Exterior-wise this car looks mundane and appears with the same 8 paint tones, looks, and features as of 2018 Crosstrek. The top variant, either "Limited" comes with the best-equipped features, such as SRH LED with High Beam Assist (HBA), fog lights, body-colour folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals, Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and PIN-code vehicle access, welcome lighting. The spacious interior of Crosstrek is the most suitable for tall-size persons as they too can enjoy the ride with comfort. It offers 4-speakers in the base variant, and 6-speaker system in the Premium and Limited trims, that enhances the entertainment level further. Other than this, the automatic climate control system is only available in the Limited variant of Crosstrek. 

The performance of this car is not punchy enough, and with 2.0-litre DOHC SUBARU BOXER® engine that comes with Dual Active Valve Control System (DAVCS), you will get 152 hp at 6,000 rpm.  This might not be adequate for many customers, but it’s enough to enjoy off-road rides. That too with the best in segment fuel economy rate, and standard Subaru symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive system. Other than this, Hill Descent Control and X-mode come as optional in the first two variants and is standard in the limited trim of Crosstrek. 

This car offers the huge cargo space that when translated into numbers is 20.8 cubic feet and 55.3 cubic feet (with rear seatbacks lowered). In terms of towing capacity, it can easily get along with 1500 lbs of weight. 

With Crosstrek, you get easy to use controls, a comfortable ride, and good fuel economy. This car is a value for money as it offers long-lasting build quality. And, a long list of essential safety features that starts from the base variant. In fact, the first variant doesn’t come with only three safety features like, reverse assist braking, Starlink safety and security system, blind-spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert system. Therefore, in terms of safety and convenience, Subaru Crosstrek is a perfect fit. Although when it comes to extra-lavish-features, you shall go for the prime variant of this car.
