Cadillac CT6

CT6 got a major upgrade in its cabin technology for the 2019 model year. The vehicle offers a breathtaking interior with leather upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheels as standard. It gets an Infotainment 3.5 platform with a 10.2-inch touch screen and features Apple CarPlay and Auto Car connectivity along with an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system amongst a long list of new features.

Cadillac now offers a comfortable ride via its roomy seats with upgraded cabin features that include 14-way power-adjustable front seats along with memory settings for the driver's seat and a heated steering wheel at the front. For the rear occupants, the cabin now comes with memory settings for the passenger seat with firm rear seats that cannot be folded down, although there is a trunk pass-through.

The Cadillac CT6 on the outside sports a striking exterior, making it a head-turner on the streets. The four-door sedan is nearly 17.2 feet long, making it a full-size sedan and features the automaker’s slice-through lamp design headlamps.  The signature headlamps that are a key silhouette employ bi-LED beam projectors for better visibility.

Another major upgrade by Cadillac can be seen on its wheels where it sports 20-inch wheels as stock. However, Ultra Bright wheels are available on the Premium Luxury and Sport models, and 20" twin 5-spoke alloy wheels with Manoogian finish are available on the Platinum model.

Coming over to the back of the car, the CT6 breathes through active valve sport exhaust, producing high rev sounds on Sport and Track modes. The back also features larger taillights with a classy looking trunk lid.

Cadillac CT6 offers a smooth and comfortable ride to its users. The car boasts a full range of adaptive cruise control that provides a fluent drive in stop-and-go traffic. A major game-changer for the carmaker is its Super Cruise control option, which allows drivers to go hands-free on the highway under certain conditions. 

The Super Cruise is a Level 2 automated system that works on highways that have been scanned precisely by Cadillac, however, a camera makes sure that the driver's eyes stay on the road.

The new variant of CT6 has two engine offerings for its customers, a 3.6-litre V6 or turbocharged 4.2-litre V8 at the three trim levels, namely, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum.

The 3.6-litre V6 engine produces a maximum power of 335 hp and generates peak torque of up to 385 Nm. This engine variant comes mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission and offers all-wheel-drive type.

The 4.2-litre V8 engine produces a maximum power of 500 hp and generates peak torque of up to 778 Nm. The power makes its way through an all-wheel-drive system via a 10-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

Cadillac equipped the latest generation of CT6 with Anti-lock brakes that sense extreme braking conditions and increase the turning ability of the vehicle while braking.

For the safety of the drivers, CT6 comes equipped with stability control that offers limited vehicle handling at overspeeding, the car also features front and side-impact airbags along with Seatbelt pretensioners which automatically tighten seatbelts to place the occupant in the optimal seating position during a collision. 

However, the 2020 CT6 hasn't been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). 

With so many factors to keep in mind, it can be aptly put that the Cadillac CT6 is a budget-friendly offering by the automaker for its customers to get a taste of premium and luxury.
