Cadillac ATS is now only available in the four-seat configuration coupe. The interiors are streamlined to keep it exciting for you to indulge in the comfort of luxury. The sophisticated cabin is crafted with exotic woods, carbon fiber, and semi-aniline leather. The performance front seats are supportive, comfortable, and get 18-way adjustments to match with your comfort. Though due to its aerodynamic styling, ATS offers packed headroom for tall drivers.

And, just like most of the four-seater coupes, ATS is no exception. The rear seats are of no use, except for the kids and extra cargo. However, the feature-rich cabin of the ATS balances the downfalls. The standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, teen driver system, remote start, 8-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, voice recognition, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pad, Wi-Fi hotspot, and 12-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system. While some of the essential features are optional, such as sunroof, a head-up display, and navigation. Being priced competitively against some of the class-leading coupes, ATS not only misses some of the features, but the quality of interior material also keeps it behind the race.

ATS is a powerful machine designed with precise styling. So undoubtedly, the exterior appearance of Cadillac ATS is athletic and forward. But the fact that it is unchanged for at least five years makes it traditional in this age of the coupe. Though, Cadillac has made sure to stand it out from others. In the front fascia, ATS features active aero grille shutters, which help in reducing the aerodynamic drag while boosting fuel efficiency. It also results in better handling and control over the vehicle.

Cadillac ATS comes available with the High-Intensity Discharge headlamps with adaptive forward lighting technology, which helps in illuminating the corners as you turn the steering. The signature light blade LED taillamps significantly carry the same treatment as of the bold front face. The rear stance of ATS growls with the two polished exhaust tips. The front and rear vertical lightning treatment exhibit a powerful stance. While in terms of the side profile, the side mirrors are both stylish and functional and come integrated with turn signals. The 18-inch aluminum wheels are paired to ensure that ATS delivers firm ride quality. However, despite all these candies, ATS wears a unique exterior styling that is not very familiar with the coupe drivers.

ATS coupe offers a balanced ride quality and composed handling response. In the rear suspension, a five-link independent suspension keeps the vehicle settled on the road against changing road conditions. Plus, with the available magnetic ride control, ATS automatically adjusts the suspension 1000 times a second to match with the dynamic environment. It also assists in enabling responsive handling. Also, the ATS offers reasonable steering control over the sharp corners and makes it easier for you to take a turn. 

On the performance front, Cadillac ATS is powered by the standard 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It can make a maximum power of 272 hp and torque of 400 Nm. This engine is designed to keep up with most of the driving circumstances. The standard 8-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth delivery of power. However, the combined output of this powertrain is too much loud-mouthed, which make ATS sounds like an unrefined coupe.

The brake stopping power is directed by the Brembo ventilated disc brakes. These are specially made with aluminum alloy to wear resistance while offering excellent stopping power. ATS is loaded with plenty of standard safety features, such as rearview camera, teen driver monitoring system, all-wheel traction control, and airbags. And, with optional packages, you can also get automatic seat belt tightening, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and forward and reverse automatic emergency braking.

With top-notch and assertive engine performance, sturdy appearance, and feature-rich interiors, the ATS coupe is made to keep journeys moving. This coupe has a good side, a bad side, and an ugly side too. Like on the good side, you’ll get one of the coupes that have engaging handling, lots of features, and classy feel. The bad side includes a tiny rear seat, moderate cargo space, and traditional design. While on the ugly side, the cheap quality of the cabin materials downgrades the luxury feel of the ATS. Though despite all this, ATS remains one of the most favorable choices as a luxury coupe in the segment.
