Volkswagen offering lucrative dealer discounts on VW Arteon

Volkswagen offering lucrative dealer discounts on VW Arteon

The new Volkswagen Arteon is a relatively newer model in the American market. However, VW is already offering lucrative discounts on the price of the VW Arteon, that too, for the second time in its tenure to date.

Based on reports from CarsDirect, VW had increased dealer cash incentives from $3,500 to $5,000 for the Arteon to promote the sedan’s sale. The car comes with a starting price tag of around $38,000, such an incentive would surely attract the buyers.

However, as the case with dealer discounts and incentives, it is up to the showroom to pass on this benefit to the buyers. But interestingly, a lot of dealers have been practicing this and some of them have even upped this incentive amount to offer better discounts. A dealership in California is offering a cash discount of $8,671, which could get the price to be the same as the Passat sedan.

Having said that, there is an alternative option for buyers who aren’t much interested in availing the discount. Such customers can opt for 0% financing for a tenure of 72 months, along with a bonus of $2,000. Sure it is not as lucrative as a $5,000 discount, but can be considered as a good alternative.

Volkswagen Arteon interior

The Volkswagen Arteon had replaced the CC in the lineup and is an amalgamation of luxury and near-luxury cars. It has leatherette seats with a heating feature. However, if you go higher in the options list, you can get Nappa leather upholstery and massage feature for the seats, along with a panoramic sunroof and adaptive cruise control.

Powering the VW Arteon is a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that can churn out 268 hp of power and 340 Nm of peak torque. The power is channeled to the wheel via an 8-speed auto gearbox.

Quite interestingly, the VW Arteon is not on the card to be phased off so soon. In fact, the German automaker is developing a sportier version of the car in the form of the Arteon R. This performance version will use a 3.0-liter turbo engine to make up to 400 hp power on the throttle.
