The car does struggle with body roll around the corners which as compared to other offerings in the segment like the Honda Civic and Mazda 3 does compromise the overall handling characteristics of the sedan. The steering in the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is not the most precise unit available in the segment and is not as responsive as we would like it to be.

The car is available with a wide range of driver assistance and safety features which include forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and automated emergency braking.

2019 Volkswagen Jetta comes with an impressive warranty and maintenance coverage plan which with exception to Hyundai and Kia offerings is considerably superior to those offered by any other carmaker in the segment. The over-eager braking response and unimpressive interior build quality can be disappointing at times but the car’s spacious cabin and the comfortable ride make the 2019 VW Jetta a worthy contender against the likes of Mazda 3 Honda Civic and Kia Forte.
