Nissan teases second-generation Juke ahead of its debut
Nissan is all set to launch an all-new model next month, and instead of a new Z or GT-R, Nissan is teasing the second-generation Juke. The shadowy teaser of the next-generation Nissan Juke was published last month, and now Nissan has unveiled a lot more of the car during the testing at the Millbrook testing track in the United Kingdom. Even if the vehicle is wrapped in a lot of camouflage, much of the new crossover’s design is noticeable. The Juke uses a notable version of the carmaker’s V-motion grille at the front that engages with slender lighting details, which seems to be less divisive compared to the previous model’s high-mounted units.
The vehicle’s side profile also experiences a radical change, with few notable wheel arches and a sharp character line that extends to the rear. One perspective that is taken from the previous generation is the frame of the side windows, also the placement of the rear door handles. A dual-tier appearance is maintained, with the main headlamps sneaking underneath the square covers. As the recent teaser shows, this highlight a three-pointed design for added flair. Further down, the lower apron flaunts a more angular input, with little fog lights tucked away in the corners of the bumper.
The rear end of the car has received an angular treatment. The boomerang taillamps have been changed, and a more conventional two-piece arrangement is equipped. The Juke gets a more substantial aperture into the luggage section, and the tailgate has a few dashing glass piece. In addition to that, Nissan reveals that the car features the adoption of ProPILOT technology, 19-inch alloy wheels that will come as standard and a more roomier cabin. This car will be sharing the same riding platform, which is used in Renault Captur. There’s no information regarding the powertrain, but it is likely to come with a blend of small-capacity turbocharged diesel and petrol options, also a 1.6-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain.
