2020 Volvo S90 spied with some minor updates
Branded as the world’s safest car, the Volvo S90 has been a bland protein shake with nothing but honey for flavor. Coming year this won’t be the case with this vehicle as some minute yet jaw-dropping changes have been spotted in the new S90.
It might be subtle but the lowered front fascia feels more mature and dedicated to the S90’s feel. There aren’t any major design changes as the general shape remains the same but Volvo did put in some work in the grille. The more textured grille is complemented by a much grainier headlamp and this makes this Volvo a spicier edition.
There aren’t many changes in the rear department but the tail-lamp looks sleeker and the faceless exhaust is something that is making us go gaga over its appearance. Though the trunk design remains the same.
The 2020 Volvo S90 might receive the regenerative braking system from the XC90. If the S90 gets the regenerative braking system than its probably a better time to consider that it will increase the fuel economy at least by 15%.
As Volvo decides to keep its hands off the diesel engines, it is speculated that the Volvo S90 spec-sheet will have both PHEV and plug-in hybrid drivetrains.
Recently, Volvo came up with a program that limits the speed of its vehicle to a safer speed near schools and hospitals but this program is still not ready to be in the production phase. As for this variant, the speed will be limited to 110miles/hour and this applies to the whole lineup of Volvo.
There isn’t any confirmation about its release date but it is speculated to be in the United States of America by 2021. Waiting might be a better option if Swedes are what you dig inside your garage.
