Jeep Gladiator

Jeep was out of the mid-size pickup truck business since 1992, but recently it has launched a new truck which is based on the platform of the Wrangler, hence shares many identical features and specifications with it. Newly launched truck, Gladiator 2020 is purely designed to provide customers best of both worlds. You can grasp the comfort of SUV class vehicle in terms of interiors and space, and along with this you can also carry 1600 lb of payload plus can tow up to 7,650 lb. Now, with this truck, you can carry adventure along with you. 

Gladiator comes with a number of first in class specifications and features, and it’s the only truck that features removable roof, windshield, and doors, that can be detached to make the ride more thrilling. 

As Gladiator replicates Wrangler interior features, it offers LED-illuminated cup holders, ambient LED interior lighting, heated front seats and steering, dual-zone automatic temperature control, wifi hotspot functionality, adjustable front seats, and UConnect 4 infotainment system that is available with the 7.0- and 8.4-inch screen.

Gladiator is available in four variants Sport, Sport S, Overland, Rubicon, MSRP starts from $33,545-$43,545. 

A 3.6L V6 Pentastar Engine that offers 285 hp at 260 pound-feet of torque comes as standard in all the variants of Gladiator. And, Jeep has planned to introduce a new 3.0-litre ecodiesel engine in early 2020, same as of Grand Cherokee. It can produce 260 hp and a peak torque of 442 pound-feet.

Just like, the standard Pentastar engine, Gladiator comes with 6-speed manual transmission, but you can also opt for an optional 8-speed automatic transmission. 

Coming to the off-roading capabilities of Gladiator, the top variant Rubicon comes with 4:1 rock-Trac AWD system that enables it to make the ride smooth over rocky roads. And, other variants are available with the Command-Trac 4-WD system as standard. Moreover, Rubicon is the only variant that features performance suspension, whereas Sport comes with normal duty and mid trims come with normal duty plus suspension. 

In terms of handling capabilities, Gladiator’s wheelbase has been increased by 18.9 inches when compared to its twin Wrangler. Furthermore, with such long wheelbase, it improves ride quality and makes handling more controllable. 

This mid-size pickup truck offers 80+ safety and security features, such as park view rear back-up camera, hydraulic brake assist booster, electronic trailer sway control, electronic roll mitigation, blind-spot detection, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, rear park assist system, emergency braking function, etc. Some of the features are standard among all the variants, whereas some come as optional and can be added with active safety gear package.
