South America gets an exclusive Ford Troller TX4

Ford has revealed a new off-roader Troller TX4, exclusively available in South America. The TX4 resembles strong styling cues from its Brazilian counterpart, the Troller T4. Additionally, the American exclusive TX4 gets extra pieces of equipment.

Slotted above the standard Troller, the TX4 gets much of the same kit as found on the Troller T4 Trail. The vehicle's equipment list comprises of a snorkel air intake, side steps, front and rear steel bumpers, LED headlights for enhanced night visibility, and Pirelli Scorpion MTR 245/70R17 tires to provide the users with an ultimate off-roading experience.

The other notable change around the car is its catchy two-tone color pairing, with Navy Blue as the base color. However, users get an option to customize the vehicle's front grille, roof, snorkel, hood, and tailgate with a choice of either Trancoso Brown, Maragogi Green or Frosted Silver.

Additionally, buyers of the car will also get an option to choose steel front and rear bumpers, a different set of tyre (Pirelli Scorpion MTR 245/70 R17 run-flat tires). While the other add-ons include white LED headlights, submersible auxiliary Hella LED lights, Isofix interior hooks, and three-point seat belts.

The vehicle is powered by Ford's 3.2-liter Duratorq straight-five engine which produces a maximum power output of 200 hp alongside generating a peak torque of up to 470 Nm. The straight-five engine comes mated with a six-speed automatic gearbox to power the 4WD to a top speed of 120 km per hour.

Interestingly, with the help of a shift-on-the-fly selector, the drivers can electronically control the 4×4 driveline with a choice amongst 4X2, 4X4 and low-range 4X4.

Inside, the Troller TX4 features a unique embroidered headrests and orange accents. A JBL Harman 6.75-inch infotainment setup handles the entertainment section of the car with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The other notable interior features include dual-zone air-conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, split-folding rear seats, and a 12-volt power socket amongst other accessories.
