Jeep says muscle cars are frequently being traded in for Wrangler

Jeep Wrangler remains to be immediately recognizable across the globe as time goes on, thanks to fabulous off-road skills and a trademark design statement over the years that the nameplate has been on duty. Giving away an old car to a dealership to assist finance the acquisition of a new one is very common nowadays. Also, some people find it cruel to drive the new car while the old one is left in the garage and that’s the reason why they sell it off. People might trade their competing models for a Jeep, but according to Jeep North America Director Scott Tallon, people are not selling off competing cars for the Wrangler. Instead, they are trading in American muscle cars. 

According to Tallon, muscle cars such as Chevy Camaro, Dodge Challenger and even the Ford Mustang are sold to the dealers in significant numbers. It might seem a bit odd that fanboys of two-door American muscle would trade in their beast for an SUV. However, the Jeep Wrangler is a lifestyle SUV, much like the trinity of muscle cars currently accessible. People who purchase the Wrangler series are the ones who want to shift from easygoing commuters to hardcore off-road enthusiasts. Tallon said in an interview  “The pony cars… a lot of them got traded-in. Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and even our Dodge Challenger.”

In addition to that, Tallon said that Mustang and Challenger are not the only cars that are being traded for Jeep Wrangler. Cars like the Chevy Silverado and Ford F-Series are also traded in for the sturdy off-road beast. It seems that people are not shifting from muscle cars to SUV but are sailing from one bold American offering to the next.
