Ford Baby Bronco bare body image leaked

Ford Baby Bronco bare body image leaked

A few months ago, Ford announced the arrival of its new SUV, Bronco for 2021 aimed to compete with Jeep Wrangler. And it is also known that a smaller variant, Baby Bronco is in the pipeline. The production-based prototypes of the model have already come out and rumors are it will be unveiled early next year.

Earlier, the smaller SUV was caught up-close in the spy images which showed some close shots of its suspension and tyres. From the camouflaged images, no accurate information was delivered as the fake panel overstated the size and shape of the vehicle. But now, a non-camouflage image of the SUV has been leaked and is roaming all over the internet.

In the leaked image, the bare bodies of the Baby Bronco are clearly visible. It reveals the kink in the C-pillar which matches the spy shots. At the base of the front fender, the provided vents are integrated with the door. Its unibody design is identical to Ford Escape.

Under the bonnet, it is expected to have the same drivetrain as Escape has. It means the offered options include:

  • 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit producing 180 PS of power
  • 2.0-litre turbo-four capable to deliver 250 PS of power

For the wheel drive options, AWD and RWD both are expected to be offered. About the official preview, the automaker has no plans for Los Angeles Auto Show, going to happen in November.

The earlier prediction stated the chances of the showcase in the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but now the show is delayed for summer so the possible debut can happen in an autonomous show in New York or Chicago. Stay tuned to Zigwheels USA for further insights.
