BMW iX3 all-electric SUV design revealed
BMW had previewed the first-ever all-electric model that it would be bringing to its range. This is the iX3, an electric form of the popular X3 SUV. The concept was revealed at the 2018 China Auto Show. What we came to know from this move that the German automaker will be making an EV based on its popular X3 SUV and that it would be made for the Chinese market.
Despite having quite a lot of details about the upcoming BMW iX3, like some of its technical details and the fact that it would be made in China and exported to other countries, we did not know how it would look like.
However, the all-electric SUV has now been revealed during the presentation of the Concept i4 with the help of an image. The production version of the BMW iX3 does not look very different from the concept that was previewed. The wheels are the same, and so are the panels on the front fenders. However, the front grille is different than what we saw in the concept and is not more inclined more towards the other cars in the X range.
The BMW iX3 is most likely to be launched globally by the end of 2020. However, since it will be a China-made model, it will reach Europe first and will have a price tag of around €70,000. Launch in the United States is likely to take place later in 2021.
