2020 Audi A4 gets an updated price tag

Audi has announced a change in price for its 2020 A4 lineup in the US market. The line-up was originally unveiled in the mid of last year with updated styling cues and a new infotainment system.

The entry-level A4 40 minus Quattro all-wheel-drive faces a decrease in its price from $40,195 to $38,395. The Premium Plus trim now stands at $41,995, making it cheaper by $400. However, the Prestige model gets an updated price tag at $47,945, with a price increase of around $2,000. Further, the A4 45 TFSI Quattro carries an increased price tag at $40,900 along with an increased power of 248 hp. The Premium Plus Quattros now starts at $44,000.

Coming to the features of the new line-up, the Audi has introduced a broader grille and thin air inlets on the snout, across the lineup. For better night visibility, LED headlights are set as standard on every model. Additionally, users also get optional LED matrix headlights that include animated turn-signal lighting and a light signature that is set to move when the vehicle's unlocked or locked.

Under the hood, the A4 retains the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine, offered with either a 188 hp engine with front-wheel drive (called 40 TFSI) powertrain or a 248 hp engine with Quattro all-wheel drive (called 45 TFSI Quattro). The Allroad variant carries a 248 hp turbo-four standard Quattro engine while the transmission remains unchanged with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, the A4 series cabin features a new 10.1-inch touchscreen with a new-generation Audi infotainment system called MIB 3. The audio feedback feature is enhanced to help drivers keep their attention focused on the road. Also, Audi taps Verizon for the 4G LTE signal piped into its latest offering.
