Subaru Outback

The 2019 Subaru Outback retains the classic Boxer engine as of its previous 2018 model. It offers the identical mileage, performance and power, symmetrical all-wheel drive, X-mode, Hill Descent Control, Vehicle Dynamics Control, Active Torque Vectoring, Traction Control System, and many other specifications and features. 

However, in the new Outback, Eyesight Driver Assist technology is standard among all the variants, which was earlier optional in the previous year model of Outback. In addition, LED Steering Responsive Headlights (SRH) which were standard in 2018 variant 3.6R Limited, now comes optional, and is only standard in Touring variants. Like this, the sliding moonroof that reduces 95% of the UV lights was earlier standard from 2.5i Limited variant. Now, exclusively comes with Touring variants only, and is optional in rest of the variants. 

With the ups and downs in the standard features, the MSRP of 2.5 variants have increased by $450-$305. Whereas the top variant 3.6R Limited prices are slashed by $400, but the prices of 3.6R Touring has increased by $305. 

This year’s Outback offers the same line-up and comes in 6 variants 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited, and 3.6R Touring. 

This crossover SUV comes with many exciting exterior characteristics that amplify its design and layout, such as heated side mirrors, body-colour door handles with chrome finish, roof rails, fog lights, welcome lighting, auto on-off wiper-linked headlights. 

With the outer looks of this car, it gives you one of the safe and convenient interiors in its segment. It’s loaded with Subaru advanced frontal, and seat cushion airbags. Along with this, there is a rollover sensor that is linked with side curtain airbags for both rear and front passengers. 

Moreover, in term of convenience it comes with standard dual USB ports, spacious seats, dual-zone automatic digital climate control mode, Bluetooth and NFC, Harman Kardon audio system with 576 watt GreenEdge amplifier fitted with 12 speakers set, 8.0 inch LCD monitor with multi-touch-gesture function, upgraded driver information display, 8 cup holders, leather-trimmed upholstery, heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, 10-way power adjustable driver and 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. 

Subaru Outback is available in two drivetrains, 2.5i variants come with 2.5 litre DOHC Subaru Boxer engine with Active Valve Control System (AVCS), and it produces a max power of 175 hp at 5,800 rpm, and torque of 174 lb-ft at 4,000 RPM. In addition, another engine option is available in 3.6R variants that appear with a 3.6 litre DOHC Subaru Boxer engine with Dual Active Valve Control System (DAVCS) that unfolds the power of 256 hp at 6,000 rpm, and torque of 247 lb-ft at 4,400 RPM. In terms of transmission, 2.5i variants come with automatic Lineartronic CVT with adaptive cruise control, hill holder and 6-speed manual mode paddle shifters. Whereas, 3.6R variants are fitted with Lineartronic High-torque CVT with the same features as of 2.5i variants. 

As a crossover SUV, Outback offers a maximum towing capacity of 2,700 pounds and the cargo volume of 35.5-73.3 cubic ft, ground clearance of 8.7 inches, smooth and controlled handling and with torque vectoring you can take sharp turns with ease.
