Volkswagen new logo ready to unveil next month
Frankfurt International Motor Show is going to witness a grand logo change. The giant automaker Volkswagen will come out with a new tag “New Volkswagen” next month on September 10. The automaker summarizes it as the image-rebuilding strategy, the company has followed since 2015 diesel-engine scandal and further coincides with the company’s launch of electric vehicles. The officials also stated that It will send the note of turning seriously towards electrification, connectivity, and a carbon-neutral future. Though the automaker has not revealed the new logo officially, it can be noted on a number of eighth-generation Golf prototypes.
The redesigned logo will be simpler and lighter as in slimmer lettering and a thinner surrounding circle. It will mark the start of the company’s third era with the earlier periods by the Beetle and Golf. The 3D effect of the present design will also be dropped in favor of a flatter design. The company’s marketing campaign will also include a sound signature and a female voice.
The launch of the ID.3 electric hatch based on the new MEB platform is going to happen along with the logo unveiling. The MEB platform will be the base of mainstream brands Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, and Audi in their expanded range of vehicles of all sizes and shapes.
The logo restructuring will be rolled out slowly throughout the world, the first in place will be the company headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, then lined up with other dealerships and other sites across Europe. China, North America, South America will be getting the new logo in October, whereas the other countries would have changed one in the initial months of the upcoming year 2020. Moreover, the company is going to bear the expenses and trouble of replacing 70,000 logos in over 10000 locations associated with the company.
The exact answer to the question that whether the upcoming logo will resemble the current one, is still not answered. So, for that, we need to wait till September 10.
