Nissan teases Juke 2020 once again
One more teaser of next-gen Nissan Juke is released and gaining attention all over the internet. In the series of teasers released to date, Nissan has brought glimpses of the coming subcompact crossover. The previous teasers unveil limited info about the vehicle except for the camo-wrapped official "spy" images, the ten-second teaser showcasing even more details about the car.
The official premiere of the vehicle is likely to happen at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The details of exterior design known so far include the bigger V-Motion grille, sharp LED position lights embedded within the car's shape, and the replacement of 370z-inspired boomerang tail lights with more conventional horizontal red LEDs. The vehicle shown in the teaser seems to have a two-tone color scheme as observed by the framing. The hidden rear door handles are also likely to be dropped in the final design. Further, it is confirmed that the thick tri-bar of lights seen in the earlier teasers is the actual LED headlights of second-gen Juke.
As reported, the automaker has confirmed that Nissan Juke 2020 will have 19-inch alloy wheels and will incorporate Nissan's ProPILOT technology. On the question of powertrain, the answer is not clear yet, but if it follows the Captur, then it is expected to have a 1.3-litre gasoline engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a more potent 200-horsepower 1.6-litre turbocharged mill which would be a nice power bump for the little crossover. There are also rumors of a plug-in hybrid version in development.
The second-gen Juke will arrive nearly a decade since the original model made its debut, with the sale of over 1 million units in its first iteration only. The company officials of Nissan stated, "The new Nissan Juke is a car that we are interested in, we believe it will resonate well with Australian buyers".
