Neptune‘s trident goes silent; GranTurismo discontinued

Maserati GranTurismo, hands down one of the sweetest sounding cars ever known to mankind have finally stopped its production. As Maserati ventures into the future, they decided to keep their sharpest trident silent. Maserati also decided to quit producing the GranCabrio too but to bid adieu to one of their best creations, they pulled out a sweet one-off.

Christened as the ‘Zeda’, this one-off is carefully painted in a three-color texture. The three-color texture depicts Maserati’s step inside the EV world. From Satin white to high-gloss Blue is significant enough to prove that point.

Back in 2007, when GranTurismo was launched it created a hype in the market and shot Maserati’s sales graph to a new height. The sweet-sounding V8 was developed by Ferrari which gives it that mind-soothing exhaust note. Whereas, the GranTurismo’s body was sculpted by Pininfarina.

Zeda denotes the letter ‘Z’ by the locals in Modena, Italy. Maserati decided to put the name tag on this one-off because they believe that there is always a new beginning to an end. Maserati’s attention to detail has been a staple in their lineup as well and their perspective of viewing their product as a mortal makes it more special to the enthusiasts.
Maserati’s step into the EV sector will be worth keeping an eye on as their tradition of holding on to an emotional aspect makes their step much more exciting.
Maserati GranTurismo price has always been a notch above but with the advent of EV, we hope it will bring down the price tag a bit.
