Hyundai Sonata N-Line to arrive by fall next year
The 2020 Hyundai Sonata is one sensuous car in itself, isn't it? It has got the looks, comfort, power, and pretty much everything that makes it a great sedan. But a performance-oriented model like a Sonata N-Line will do not harm either, right? So yes, there is indeed a Sonata N-Line model coming over here in the fall of next year.
If you're wondering why can't Hyundai offer a fully-fledged Sonata N, well, N models for Hyundai are meant for tracks, and a rather tuned-down N-Line model should just be fine for regular customers. And, whether or not a Sonata N could be a reality soon, "I don’t see it happening in the future; that’s not our intention with the Sonata", is what Hyundai said about the same.
For power, the Hyundai Sonata N-Line will come housing a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder motor. As for the power figures, the boosted engine will serve 290 hp of maximum power and 420 Nm of peak torque.
The transmission is then the same eight-speed wet dual-clutch unit that the Veloster N will also feature. The Hyundai Sonata N-Line will ride on large and stylish 19-inch wheels, feature a quad exhaust outlet, and run on the front wheels via active torque vectoring.
With the arrival of the Sonata N-Line, it should pave the way for many other similar performance-oriented models in the form N-Line or even pure N range models.
