2022 Volkswagen Amarok sketch teased
The Annual Media Conference did not just witness the teaser of the Nivus crossover from Volkswagen. We also got a brief glimpse of the 2nd generation Amarok. This slight teaser image was revealed in the background when Herbert Diess, the chairman of VW mentioned that the Amarok will be among the first models to be introduced as a result of its collaboration with Ford.
As per the sketch that we got a glimpse of, the new generation of the VW Amarok has a very powerful designing up its sleeves. Though the production version will not be as sharp and superficial as we could see in the sketch, we might still see a very bold presence in the face of it. The model sketched out had giant wheels and off-road tires. The front hood is shown to be very budging and there were no door handles. The traits make it look more like a concept than an actual production model.
Plus, we also believe that the traits of the brilliant Ford Ranger could also make its way to the VW Amarok. The two automakers announced about its plans for a global alliance on pickups and commercial vans back in January last year. So now we know that the teased Amarok and new Ranger will be on sale in 2022.
Having said that, the images of the upcoming Ford Ranger had also been leaked in February last year. If the leak is to be accurate and transforms into the production model, it would have a bold appearance, especially on the front fascia.
The join collaboration of Ford and Volkswagen will also translate to Ford Transit Connect, which is based on the 2020 Volkswagen caddy.
