2021 Kia Seltos gets $2,900 discount on lease vehicles

The Kia Seltos is a relatively newer car on the block, but the automaker has already started giving out incentives. The incentive comes in the form of a discount on around $2,900 for the interested customers who are looking to lease the car.

The Kia Seltos S trim, which has the front-wheel drivetrain, attracts a maximum discount of $2,900, while the AWD S variant sees the figure drop to $2,100. Further, the LX AWD can be leased at a discount of $1,900. With this discount, the monthly payment for the car would just be around $15 more than the Honda HR-V, which is a relatively older car in comparison.

Having said that, the company is not offering any discount for the people who are looking to buy the Seltos.

Mechanically, the 2.0-liter, in-line 4-cylinder engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 146 hp at 6,200 RPM, along with a peak torque of 179 Nm at 4,500 RPM. The 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo mill churns out 175 hp at 6,000 RPM while making 264 Nm of peak torque coming at just 1,500 RPM. The power is channeled to the wheels via an intelligent variable transmission (IVT), while the turbocharged engine gets a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The top-of-the-line model gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The entertainment system is souced from Bose Premium Audio that gets ambient lighting as well. Automatic climate control and rear ventilation ducts make the cabin very comfortable for the occupants.

The Kia Seltos gets LED lighting on the front and rear, along with the auto headlight control. The top-end model rides on 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. There is also a power-controlled sunroof and heated outside rear-view mirrors.

The driver gets a lot of assistance features, like smart cruise control, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alerts, blind-spot detection and avoidance, lane-keeping and departure warning, etc. ABS is offered on all the wheels. Traction control system and electronic stability control are also offered.

The Kia Seltos has a starting MSRP of $21,990 for the lowest grade, while the SX trim starts from $27,890.
