The 2.4L engine can deliver a maximum power of 166 hp at 6,000 rpm and torque of 162 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm. Whereas the 3.0L V6 engine can compose a maximum power of 224 hp at 6,250 rpm and torque of 215 lb-ft at 3,750 rpm. Moreover, the 2.4L grades are mated with the CVT, while the GT grade comes with the 6-speed automatic electronic transmission for quick delivery of power. 

Outlander is recognized as one of the most reliable and safe family vehicles. It comes with all-wheel ABS with EBD and Brake Assist. The front wheels are equipped with the 11.6-inch ventilated brakes, and the rear wheels are equipped with the 11.9-inch solid disc brakes. This year, Mitsubishi has upgraded its safety features. Now, each grade, except the base grade, is equipped with the vital driver assistance features such as high beam headlights, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and pedestrian detection.
