Porsche reveals its Sportscar Duo, Boxster GTS 4.0 and 718 Cayman GTS 4.0
Porsche has revealed its Boxster GTS 4.0 and 718 Cayman GTS 4.0. These cars will replace the existing models with four-cylinders. Previously, in June last year, Porsche introduced the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder.
The automaker has been bringing its range-topping Cayman and Boxster Spyder from the 718 series with regular upgrades over time. Both the cars come with a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine which delivers a maximum power of 394 horsepower and produces a peak torque of up to 418 Nm. The flat-six engine comes mated to a six-speed manual engine. The GTS duo touches the speed of over 100 km per hour from an ideal start in about 4.3 seconds. The 4.0-L engine max out’s at a top speed of 292 km per hour, with highest rpm at 7800.
Outside, the GTS 4.0 Duo sports tinted lights on the front and rear, a Sport Design front apron and black trim. The corrections of the car include 20-inch alloy wheels with a black satin finish, revised lower bumper designs, and black front lip spoiler. Suspension in the car is handled by Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which comes as standard on the GTS models. Additionally, the ride height is lowered by 20 mm along with a lowered PASM sports suspension by 10 mm.
Inside, Porsche has renovated the cabin with black Alcantara upholstery and carbon fibre trim covering. The centre features the standard sports seats, a centre console, a steering wheel rim, and armrests on both doors. Additionally, Cayman gets Alcantara on the A-pillars and headliner.
However, an optional interior package is offered for the GTS variant where customers get an option between Carmine Red or Chalk. The desired colour blends with the accessories inside the car which include Porsche lettering on the floor mats
The automaker has not commented on the pricing details for the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. The first deliveries are set for the month of March in the United Kingdom.
