Mercedes teases new E-Class wagon post Geneva Show cancellation
If you thought that the cancelation of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, was bad news, here is something for you to be content with. After just a few hours of the cancelation news, Mercedes has gone on to tease the E-Class.
The teaser came in the form of a post on the German automaker’s official Facebook page. And this time around, we got to know a bit more of the detailing. According to the teaser, the vehicle is an all-terrain wagon. We could not notice a lot of changes in this facelift, though there seems to be a lot of things to be interested in.
The changes in the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is not outright, though there are slight changes in the front and rear end. The front bumper and the grille has also been reworked slightly.
The teaser video does not show anything from the cabin of the Merc E-Class Wagon, but we can expect it to have a new MBUX infotainment system that has already found its way in the 2020 GLE. Also, the car might get a new touch controller on the dash, along with new (and better) upholstery options.
The teaser video ends with “stay tuned” caption and it is only a matter of time before the marquee German automaker decides to take the covers off.
Mercedes-Benz USA sells the E-Class sedan wagon here in the States, though the rugged all-terrain is not set for our shores. The E-Class wagon sold here comes in its standard and AMG model, where the standard model is powered by a 3.0-liter, bi-turbo, V6 engine that can churn out 362 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
