Lincoln Navigator gets price hike again, crossed $100,000 mark

The automobile sector of the United States has been booming for a long while and the prices of new and popular models haven’t been pretty straight. To put things in perspective, the prices have not been stable and this is the same case with the Lincoln Navigator too. The important news here is, the Navigator grand SUV is set to become costlier now.

The present generation of the Lincoln Navigator was launched in 2018 and was around $8,500 more expensive than the one it replaced. However, the automaker did not stop there as the prices went up by another $600 within a year. The next model year saw the price surge by another $3,500. And now, the price of the present model has been hiked by another $2,620 in return for a few additions.

If you thought that it would be the end of the hike, there is bad news though. According to CarsDirect, the Lincoln Navigator is set to become costlier now, albeit by a small margin. ($365). However, this minor increase in price has taken the ask to the six-figure mark, where the range-topping model is priced at $100,335.

The Lincoln Navigator SUV is powered by a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 450 hp, along with a peak torque of 692 Nm, which comes in at just 3,000 rpm. It is available in both rear-wheel and 4-wheel-drive options.

The SUV section of the auto industry in the States has become very competitive and this huge price hike might hurt the brand to some extent. The Cadillac Escalade, which is one of the distinguished competitors to the Navigator, sells the range-topping variant at $99,590, that too without adjusting the rebate and discount.

That said, the price of the Cadillac Escalade might also see a slight bump as the 2021 model year is still due for a launch in the summer. If it does get a price hike, it might come a bit closer to the Lincoln Navigator for a fair competition.
