GM to include 26-inches wheel into their lineup
America has been a hub for some of the craziest auto mods in history. Be it the addition of hydraulic suspensions in ‘lowriders’ or slammed pickup trucks, there is a list of such mods which will put even Chuck Norris in a dilemma.
But all these mods were a result of all the after-market nerds out there but this time GM’s design head went ahead and gave a thumbs up to something which we have always considered an after-market thing. 26-inch wheels are now going to be incorporated in GM’s line of vehicles.
What made us feel differently about this news is that this was released on Brembo’s podcast. How cool can the American automobile industry be?
GM’s design chief Michael Simcoe had a chat with Brembo North America’s CEO and President Dan Sandberg about vehicle design, wheels, and brakes. Simcoe told Sandberg that a much bigger wheel will make the car look longer, leaner, and meaner.
There is more to what our stone-aged ancestors discovered than its size. Wheel structures are also dependent on the make and model of a vehicle, and manufacturers will use this chance to separate their items from their rivals further. Wheel plans can extend from prudent to expound with a large number of accessible completions and materials, for example, carbon fiber.
This step toward bigger wheels feels normal. Concept vehicles are infamous for having huge, frequently unreasonable, haggles structures that look out and out beautiful on the correct vehicle, however, the cool structures once in a while discover their direction onto the creation variant. As automakers search for better approaches to add a touch of flair to their models, be prepared for new, bigger, more intricate wheels than any time in recent memory.
