G29 BMW Z4 M40i: Returns with G-Power and now produces 500 horsepower
Last year BMW launched the Z4 M40i coupe that produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Within a year of launch, it got exceptionally massive tweaks from G-Power. And, it now churns out an output of 493 hp and 700 Nm of torque, all this came possible with the modified turbocharger, a larger intercooler, a new exhaust system, and optimized engine management software.
This magnificent improvement in the power and torque figures all sound insanely incredible. Right? With all these drastic upgrades, M40i can now go from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, compared to the stock version that requires 4.5 seconds.
All this came to reality with modified turbocharger, larger intercooler, new exhaust system and optimized engine management software known as V1.
Moreover, with power upgrades, comes new 9Jx20 and 10Jx20 double five-spoke G-POWER HURRICANE RR aircraft-grade aluminium forged alloy wheels, clad with 245/30 R20 and 275/30 R20 tyres. In addition, these tyres support better acceleration, handling, and braking, and make the overall performance highly-optimized. These wheels are designed by CAD and optimised by FEA and are ultra-light and very strong.
Now, Z4 M40i can cross the speed mark of 300 kmph with ease, however, to get your hands on the top-speed, you need to pay around € 500.00. The major changes are because of the software updates that magnify engine performance. You may choose to pay an extra amount of €357, to see the engine upgrades output on the dyno. Apart from this, other changes costs are turbocharger modification (€3,450), downpipe with sport catalyst (€1,950.01) and larger intercooler (€1,750). Apart from this, to give you the peace of mind, all standard diagnostic and motor protection systems are the same and untouched.
