Enter DBX, Aston Martin reveals its contender in luxury SUV market

The charade of donning a luxury SUV in its lineup by the frostings of luxury car manufacturers is now taking a weird turn as Aston Martin reveals it’s DBX to the world. The Aston Martin DBX would stand against the likes of Cullinan and Urus, both of which are a cut above in their respective trades.

Will The 2019 Aston Martin DBX be able to sooth its customers with the lucidity it has portrayed all this while? Or will it succumb to the honing competition in this segment? We will have to calm our thumbs down and wait for these answers. Until then, let us find out the hums and drums of this crossover(or an SUV?)

Grandiosity has always been inside Aston Martin’s ballpark and the all-new DBX is obviously not an exception. Step inside and you find out that this time they have scored a home-run with DBX. The shiny shenanigans start with brushed aluminum accents on doors and some more on the grab handles. The perfectly sewn leather coupled with the handcrafted interiors is definitely going to be a tie-breaker between the Cullinan and Aston Martin DBX. The Aston Martin DBX’s price is yet to be revealed which will seal the fate of this SUV.

The dashboard is a tab-bit futuristic with hints of Aston Martin’s vintage heritage. The ‘floating’ console looks promising as it leaves a significant amount of space under and over it for all your personal belongings. What seems to be ringing the ‘luxury-bell’ is the sun-roof, which can easily help Bond fit an ejecting seat without hampering the roof.

Topping our Martini with olive is the 4.0L Bi-Turbo V8. ‘Bi’? Yes, Mercedes-AMG supplied their GLC 63’s pounding heart to DBX and as per Aston Martin, it will produce 550hp, which is 40hp more than GLC. What turns our head is the exhaust note of this baby-shark, a much meatier and deeper sounding note depicts that Aston Martin has spent a decent amount of time in improving the acoustics of this power-train.
