Fiat’s new mini truck Strada revealed, bound for South America only
A mini pickup truck coming from Fiat is something we already knew about. However, it is not the Mobi pickup, as everyone had speculated. Instead, it is the Strada pickup that is being produced for the South American market.
Though we don’t know much about what the Fiat Strada mini pickup truck would have inside the cabin, we have good reasons to believe, and sources to back them up, that features would be more or less similar to the ones seen on the Argo, Cronos, and Toro.
Starting right from the exterior design, the earlier spy shots suggested that the car would be a boxy little pickup. However, we now have pictures that suggest the contrary. This Fiat Strada pickup is brilliantly designed and the sleek headlamps and DRLs will suggest so. The fenders and wheel arches in the front are very muscular. The roof rails up-top are prominent too, and so are the alloy wheels.
Speaking of the mechanism under the hood, this new Strada could be getting the same tried and tested 1.4-liter gas engine, alongside a newer and efficient 1.3-liter mill. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard. Moreover, going down the line, the automaker could also introduce turbocharged gas engines with 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter capacities, and those would be linked to a better CVT stick.
This new Fiat Strada is just bound for South America only. Plus, it could be restricted to the southern continent only and might not get a look in any other country. The sale of the car might get underway starting next month itself.
