2021 Audi RS7 now on sale, price starts from $114,000
Audi has expanded its US lineup with yet another RS. The new model to join the lineup is the 2021 Audi RS7 that gets an exclusive sticker price of $114,000 before the taxes are added.
The new Audi RS7 four-door coupe is highly sculpted. The front-end gets a sleek headlamps’ setting with stripes of DRLs. The blacked-out mesh design on the air-intakes on the sides of the bumper adds a very sporty touch. However, the car looks like an idea sedan before you move to the sides and rear.
It is only the excessively sloping roofline and the short cargo hood that defines it as a coupe. The LED tail-lights at the rear split at the tailgate. The twin exhaust pipes are carved in an oval shape and are placed in a pool of black mesh rear bumper.
Powering the 2021 Audi RS7 is a twin-turbo, 4.0-liter, V8 engine that produces a whopping power of 591 hp, along with a maximum torque of 800 Nm. These power figures make the RS7 the most powerful sibling in its lineup. The high amount of power production has been made possible by using a 48-volt electrical system to hybridize the powertrain.
The German automaker claims that the RS7 can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.6 seconds, though the actual figure is better, at 3.4 seconds. The car, in its standard fitment, can gross a top speed of 250 kmph, while the Dynamic package can increase it to 280 kmph. And lastly, if the buyers opt for the Dynamic Plus package, a top speed of 305 kmph is on the cards.
There are other interesting additions too. The latest RS7 comes equipped with ceramic brakes as an option. These brakes can either be had in grey or red color tone, depending on the paint job of the exterior. The technical bits include Audi Drive Select system too, with the help of which, the drivers can configure the kind of performance characteristics they want.
Audi has not mentioned any date as to when it would hit the showrooms.
