2020 Buick Encore GX pricing revealed

Buick recently announced the full pricing details of Encore GX, the latest model added to its crossover lineup. The base variant of the vehicle starts at $25,095 and is set to hit the showrooms later this year.

The Encore GX slots in between Encore and Envision. The vehicle is offered in three trim levels, namely, Preferred, Select, and Essence. While all the trims are provided with a front-wheel-drive setup, an optional all-wheel drive can be availed at an additional cost of $2000.

The standard engine setup for the Encore GX includes a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit producing a maximum power of 137 hp mated to a nine-speed continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Additionally, users can also opt for a more powerful engine configuration of a turbocharged 1.3-liter unit, at an optional charge of $395, producing a maximum power output of 155 hp. The 1.3-liter engine comes mated to the same CVT transmission.

"As we look to the future of Buick, the Encore GX positions us strongly as a consideration for those who want to purchase small or compact SUVs," said the vice president of Global Buick and GMC, when asked about their latest offering.

All the three trims of Encore GX can be configured with an optional Sport Touring package which brings in some addition to the cosmetic features with dark wheels, revised sportier grilles and bumpers, and red exterior accents across the car at an additional price of $650.

The exterior color of the car costs an additional price, ranging between $495 to $1095 for all trim levels, making the Summit White as the only color with no extra costs. Interestingly, there are two color options available for the interior on the Preferred and Select trim levels while Essence gets an additional color option.

The base variant can be paired with a 'Safety Package' at a price of $1815. The package adds rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, blind-spot warning, a power driver's seat, remote start, heated front seats, and a power liftgate.

Moving towards the Select and Essence trim levels, an Experience Buick package costing $1,995 adds navigation, power moonroof, different wheels, and surround vision. An Advanced Technology package, limited to only these two variants adds navigation, rear park assist, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, surround view, and a power liftgate, for $2455.
