The Encore GX slots in between Encore and Envision. The vehicle is offered in three trim levels, namely, Preferred, Select, and Essence. While all the trims are provided with a front-wheel-drive setup, an optional all-wheel drive can be availed at an additional cost of $2000.

Additionally, users can also opt for a more powerful engine configuration of a turbocharged 1.3-liter unit, at an optional charge of $395, producing a maximum power output of 155 hp. The 1.3-liter engine comes mated to the same CVT transmission.

"As we look to the future of Buick, the Encore GX positions us strongly as a consideration for those who want to purchase small or compact SUVs," said the vice president of Global Buick and GMC, when asked about their latest offering.

The exterior color of the car costs an additional price, ranging between $495 to $1095 for all trim levels, making the Summit White as the only color with no extra costs. Interestingly, there are two color options available for the interior on the Preferred and Select trim levels while Essence gets an additional color option.
