2020 Audi S7 key specs and prices announced

Audi has announced the key specs and prices of its upcoming 2020 S7. Compared to the previous generation model, the new S7 is sportier, more aggressive, and attractive to look at. Audi says that it has opted for such a design to make its S-range fulfill the market demand and changing trend.

2020 Audi S7 indeed looks fantastic. At the front, it features a sporty bumper with bigger air dams and aluminum-look inserts along with the updated front grille with double slats. The new 20-inch wheels come with summer performance tires as standard and handle the side profile of the car, whereas the rear end is dominated by the striking LED tail lamps and quad exhaust pipes popping out under the rear air diffuser.

The 4.0-liter V8 engine on the previous model has been replaced by a 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine which produces 444 horses and 443 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi has also used a 48-volt electric compressor that pumps air into the engine while the turbochargers spool up eliminating the turbo lag by increasing low-end torque. All this is capable of taking the car from a standstill to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The new 2020 Audi S7 also gets adaptive air suspension and bigger brakes. Also, there are many optional packages available to enhance the car’s performance - the S Sport package includes four-wheel steering technology, a differential that enables torque vectoring, and a sport exhaust system. You can also opt for a performance-oriented suspension setup.

On the inside, the new S7 gets various advanced features like a large and configurable instrument cluster which Audi likes to call as the Virtual Cockpit. There are two additional screens - 10.1 inches and 8.6 inches respectively - display the MMI Touch Response infotainment software. The Bang & Olufsen sound system is also present to leave no gaps in entertainment.

As far as the price is concerned, the 2020 Audi S7 will start at $84,895 for the Premium Plus model whereas the Prestige model will set you back by $90,495.
